Hi,
I have a computer which no longer displays any information on the computer screen whatsoever - not even bios information during boot. I figured the discrete graphics card might have died and took it out and connected the monitor to the on-board D-sub and later HDMI port, but I still get the same result.
The CPU- and case fan spin up and the HDD appears to spin up and make gentle access noise, but nothing seems to go to the monitor. And yes, I've tried different monitors that work on other computers. I'm not an expert by any means, so I was wondering if there are additional troubleshooting steps I could take, or is it safe to assume that some component on the motherboard has died rendering it useless?
